Over on Computer Audiophile, a fellow asked about the download vendor flacit.com. Their prices are quite low, low enough to be dubious, so I looked around and found the following web page:

Adding an edit here: Look down down toward the bottom of the page where it says: "Founded in 2014 by the music producer and reputable audio engineer, Nelson Pass, this superb web portal is designed for “melomaniacs” and pure sound admirers, who wish to enjoy lossless music." This is what caught my eye.
I realize this post is not about Pass-inspired DIY, but I thought it might be my best shot at more information. Please delete or move as appropriate.
