I recently bought an 800a that was supposed to be in good working order. It is currently at a repair shop and while I was waiting for the repair I almost bought a Emotiva XPA-2 Gen 2.
So my question is if anyone has an 800a and how do they think it sounds, since I have yet been able to use mine?
I am currently switching between Realistic Mach Ones (Yes and they sound reasonably good), Infinity Kappa 8.1's and Kef 104.2's. The Threshold is to replace a Yamaha M85 in my setup. Preamp is a PS audio 4.5.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Trying to curb expenditures in reaching for a good SS system.
