Best output devices for NCC200/NCC220

Will be building a couple of Avondale NCC boards in the summer, the original output device is BUV20, now discontinued. Current builders are using MJ15003G. Which one would you choose if you had the option? These boards will be used for an unregulated power amplifier in dual mono.

The BUV20 can still be found at a hefty price, from Motorola. Not sure if they are originals, but seller has a 100% feedback rating. MJ15003 can still be found at vendors like Newark and Mouser.

Any advise? Thanks to all.

Having built both the NCC200 and NCC220 (aka Quodos) I would opt for the NCC220. This uses the MJ15003 and MJ15004 devices with Q5 on the pcb mounted on the heatsink between the output devices for better heat tracking. It can also be biased at a higher setting.

NCC200 uses a pair of NPN and NC220 uses a complementary pair, is that correct?

So, which one would you choose if both (BUV20 and MJ15003) available? I think BUV20 can operate at higher bandwidth and current.

Are PCBs available from Avondale? I see only built up modules on their site. I was thinking of building an amp for each of my sons.
