Some time ago, I bought some 2N5457 from ebay, then I completely forgot after I received them. Today, I came across this little bag while I was looking for a parts. So, I put them in the curve tracer. Not too surprised, they are fake.
The first attachment contain the curves of 2 real 2N5457, 1 real 2SK170V, 1 real 2SK170BL, and a bunch of fake 2N5457. The 2nd attachment of curves of the fake 2N5457 in a more close up.
The fakes were detected as N-jfets and DSG pinout. So, at least this much matches the real 2N5457
I am somewhat curious what is the original device of these fakes. Perhaps I can still find odd usage for them.
Does anyone want to do a wild guess?
