Hello,
I have a hissing Pioneer SA-6200. I have identified the hiss comes from the preamp section. There are 4 transistors 2sc1344 on the equalizer amp board and 6 of them on the control amp board. I have read somewhere they are rather noisy and 2sc2240 is a good replacement. However, I can't find 2sc2240 at the suppliers available to me (distrelec, digikey, farnell). What other transistors can be considered? I am a total newbie and have no theoretical background, so a specific part number would be more valuable to me than "any low noise transistor".
Thank you in advance.

I believe that 2sc1344 is an old NEC part that most probably will sub to a modern day fairchild KSC1845 which are easy to obtain.
