From Bartók Concerto for Orchestra, Third movement called Elegia, sounded on while burying my mother, according to her wish.
This will suit me presumably also.
My son I don't know, what would have been his wish.
Myself had to select something so onto his funeral:

Buxtehude: Membra Jesu Nostri, VI. Ad cor

I listened to this disk again and again while he committed his suicide.
I did not know it of course by the time he is being made.

Because wretchedly, hopelessly I'm stupid.

Anything by J S Bach has to be good. I like my music to be measured, so Mozart is a bit flowery for me (too many notes).

I should note that in demanding Beethoven's 3rd Symphony in its entirety, I have also required that it be played on my best system, and set aside money for a proper wake afterwards. Sadly, my other half (who does not appreciate Beethoven) commented, "They'll need it."
