Hello everyone!
I got myself a Beats Pill XL from the dumpster.
At first I tried to fix it. The issue is this: the two small drivers produce no sound, and the sound produced by the big drivers are low/bass only.
The small drivers shows 4.7Ω on my Multimeter, so I am guessing that they should be fine and the Mainboard is busted.
I am thinking on using these drivers on a custom housing for them.
Beats Pill XL came with 2x "Woofers" and 2x "Tweeters" and 1x Passive Radiator.
I am in doubt now how to design a closed box for passive radiator and where to position the radiator itself, In front? In the back? What are the benefits?
I've uploaded some pictures of the salvaged parts.
The mainboard uses Texas TPA8118D2 chip, this one is very popular on cheap eBay boards.
