Juggling Midrange Location in a Unity Horn

Another quick thing I want to add...

is the area that I have indicated in those photographs is also the same thing I should be measuring for the wavelength circumference which indicates the highest crossover frequency of the MIDs..

So the first one being an area circle of 76CM2 (5.1 Comp Ratio) gives me a 30.9CM round Circumference.. and a wavelength of 30.9CM = 1110hz..

With that in mind is it safe to say that I should have my mids drive up to 1.1KHz or slightly above that frequency?

I think I remember reading somewhere that your crossover points should be slightly either side of the acoustically filtered points and horn loading frequency..

Also the 1/2 Wavelength from the acoustical centre of the compression driver and the back sits around 1.27Khz... apparently It should be a half wavelength or less.

Moving it further to decrease the Ratio Patrick spoke about would decrease the driver Mid highs horn Loading down to 935Hz and the 1/2 Wavelength distance from the CD 1.05KHz

Thanks
