I would be grateful if anyone can provide the specifications for an old Philips (Norelco?) 10" driver.

Model number is AD1056W. It has an alinco magnet and I guess it is probably pre-1972.
(My data books only starts at about 1972 and by then they were using ceramic magnets.)

Cheers, Jonathan

Thanks Dave I was really just trying to get very basic info' such as Res' Fq etc.
It turns out they only a had a limited production run.
Apparently the Oct 1971 Philips Data book has an entry which I have found on the MFB Freaks site.........
It is nearly legible......
Cheers Jonathan

I cleaned up the pages GM linked, hopefully it helps.

These probably have some potential… would be nice to know at least the minimum T/S

I believe that the AD1056/W was almost identical to the AD10100/W except for the change to the Ceramic magnet. There may be more data on that one. There was also an AD1065/W but that was a cheaper smaller ceramic magnet version.

One trick to approximate some Philips Parameters was to look at the data for their published designs. You could compare the in closed box Fs to the free air Fs with a known volume. That would give you some idea of Mms Vas and Cms. I had a 12" version, the AD12100/W. I did measure them in 1974. Their Qt was rather low

Thank you Fernando R.........
"Yup", you are right, that is why I bought them.. I have long (40+yrs) had a desire to own some AD10/100's. At the time they were a sort of "poor man's KEF B139", similar size etc. The AD10/100 was widely available here in Australia in the early/mid-70's but I think people didn't buy many as the 12" unit was selling for only $2 or $3 more and they represented better value for money in the diy scene. As a consequence you can get AD12/100's very easily but the 10" model hardly ever comes on the market these days. (I've only seen two pairs in over 10 yrs)
I have some data on the AD10/100 but it is in storage and inaccessible at the moment. I am glad you think the AD1056 is similar. That was my feeling. The magnet on the AD1056's is slightly less powerful than the later model but that suits the sensitivity of my "mids" better so it is "win-win". (btw I can find even less on Web about the AD10/100 than the AD1056's.....bit weird.)
As I am bunging them in an infinite baffle (or possibly a transmission line later) I now have the info' I was seeking.
Again, my "thanks" to those who posted.

Cheers Jonathan Bright

Yeah, 12" were/are way more popular; I've got a pair of AD12-600/W8 sold through RadioShack, which measured ~25 Hz Fs/0.42 Qts/6 ft^3 Vas. Had them in three way 8 ft^3/Fs tuned towers [MLTL] till the foam surrounds vaporized. Guess there's some generic replacements available.
