Parts Express drivers to build a L100 clone

Ever since I got back into being an audiophile a few years ago I've thought about JBL L100 speakers to go with my Yamaha CA-2010 integrated amp.

I've read the JBL L100 upgrade web pages along with the 3 way classic web pages by Troels and I've thought about buying some used L100's. But I keep going back to thinking that there has got to be new drivers I can buy from Parts Express along with perhaps Troels crossover to come up with a new speaker similar to the classic 3 way but with a bigger woofer.

I've also seen the other 3 way designs Troels has written about. I was hoping to have a cabinet about the size of the L100.

I'm really surprised no one has built and documented a speaker like this.

If anyone has can you offer links, articles, etc.? Thank you.

I would say buy Beyma 12PR300 and combine it with a horn. Seos12 + DE250 is a good choice, Faital Pro FTH142 + HF144 is better idea IMO

I saw the Tarkus and the cabinet design made me thing 'big Bucks'. I was hoping more for a box design but this looks like something to investigate.

There is a published xover design for the 12PR300/SEOS12 at DIYsoundgroup. Not exactly an L100 clone, though, is it?
