Gents,

See chicken scratch of my proposed compact 3 ways below.

They will be actively powered and feature:

- 2 x Tangband w6-1139SIF sub/woofers
- 1 x to-be-confirmed midrange (will cross at bsc roll off and about 2-2.5k)
- 1 x morel cat308 tweeter

All in a compact 22L + 3L sealed for the midrange

Now the TB subs dig deep for such little drivers but need a tonne of juice and LONG ports, so I think Slot ports are the way to go.

I have read that slot ports cant be accurately modelled in any of the available free software but rumour has it that:

*slot port length should be about 30% less than the equivalent regular port of the same port surface area*

Does that sound about right?

I have marked the slot port in the image attached as red line in the section through the box on hte right. Would this fairly accurately represent the port length?

I modelled the TB's in WinISD and got the following:
Box size: 22L
tuning: 32HZ
Max SPL: 108db @ 30hz
Port air velocity @ 30hz = 31m/s
Ports:
8.5cm dia round (56.7cm sq) for 79.5cm long - 30% = 56cm long slot port

Does this sound about right?
Thanks
