How can a zobel add an order to the slope of a crossover?

I had an e-mail discussion with Bob Brines (thanks Bob for all af your help ;))

And he told me that the XO he uses in his peerless pipes
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Isn't 1st order on the tweeter (1st+impedance correction)

but that the zobel is mistuned (compared to the tweeter's inductance), and by doing this, he added a 1st order electrical slope to the existing 1st order, resulting in a 2nd order XO

I've never seen this before, can someone explain me?

series xover

Bricolo,

That's a series xover, so presumably the zobel on the bass unit has an effect on the tweeter..........

I've often wondered if, in a 2nd order low pass xover, the LP cap and the zobel components could somehow be combined.....

any guesses anyone????
