Hi all (this is my first thread after registering 2 mins ago),

Ok i have just aquired a pair of kef ref 107 speakers in which i am about to totally refurbish (all drive units, crossover and cabinets). I am currently having all drive units and crossovers checked and rebuilt where nessescary.

I need advice as to what to do with the cabinets.
They are in ok structually but they have scratches that are in numerous places. I am thinking of totally sanding them back and applying some sort of finish to them any ideas please?
Also, the seperate mid and tweeter cabinet is chipped and scratched but is made of plastic (i think) what can i do with them?
Quite honestly, i don't know whether i will be keeping them or selling them on after refurbishment as i haven't heard them properly in my system, so it's a matter of either keeping them as close to original or doing something drastic.

Any advice is more than welcome as i do really need it. Thanks!
