I guess that I have unofficially been lurking around the site for a while, it seems to pop up in my various searches.
I am a Mechanical Engineer, so by nature I like to build and fiddle with things. I have had an interest in music & hifi for many years.
Currently I have been assembling a stereo system, for a mans room (listening/ library) with the intention of collecting items that were well rated when new, but are now a little older, well priced and still sounding good. I have to date a Thorens TD150 mk2 turntable with Pickering XV15/D750 cartridge, NAD 660 CDP,
Musical Fidelity X pre, Rotel RB870-BX power amp & NZ made Image 402 speakers.
My current interest is in building a pair of speakers to give me better bass response than what I have.
