The private message automatic addressing does not work when forwarding one message.

By Automatic Addressing to you mean when the form fills in the name of the forum member you are sending to?

The recipient box normally auto-guesses the recipient you are trying to think of. This is mildly helpful to Send New Message; although limited by the fact there ae SO many usernames here that you practically have to know the whole username before you get the hit you want.
There is also a Forward Private Message function. (Oddly, when invoked, it says "New".) In initial testing it didn't seem to guess at all, but now I think it is just really slow; also the name-space is too full. It will not guess "Pano" until the 4th letter (too many "Pan.."s here). So I *think* it is working as designed, though may be failing (or appear to fail) in some specific situations. |
