Andy, I don't know the specifics of this player, but I have been working on some similar vintage Philips/Maganvox players. Typical problems I've encountered have been related to old, out of spec, or leaky electrolytic caps.
Start with: does the deck power on? does the transport appear to work? can it read a disc TOC? Can it "play" a track (does it appear to read the track without skipping, if you can see track timing)?
Almost all the faults I've seen so far have involved caps in the servo circuit or power supply, so I'd start there.
