Tidal? Anyone try it?

Hi, All.

TLDR: Do you like Tidal? The HiFi streaming service?

I'm primarily a Spotify user. I generally listen to music on my UE Live's or my Focal K2 system in my car (properly DSPed and time aligned). Has anyone tried Tidal? I can hear a very slight difference on my UE Live's and not really so much in the car. Not sure if it's worth the 25 bucks per month.

At home on my HiFi systems, I'll usually listen to Vinyl.

Just wondering people's experience.

I've been using TidalHiFi for 2-3 years now and I'm pretty happy. You will notice a difference.

Mostly listening through an ObjectiveDAC (ODAC)

Objective DAC (ODAC revB) - board only Version

into my WHAMMY headphone amp or AudioLab 8000MB and AE1 speakers.

The quality is great and well worth the £20 / month.

BIG difference in SQ between spotify and Tidal.
Spotify interface is MUCH better than tidal.

Tidal's HiRez MQA is a godsend. Finally better sound quality than vinyl overall, although depends on mastering. You'll easily notice how CD 44.1K sucks.

Buy Audirvana, and you'll get free Tidal account for 3 months or so.

Tidal is great for sound quality, integrates nicely with Roon for a great interface and integration with a local music collection.
