In the past for these sorts of applications, I have used BY8001 modules, cheap as chips and work well. If I needed more than 2 channels, I added more modules and used a global trigger. Now I am faced with an 8 voice choir, so minor timing differences between modules will cause problems (clock is inaccessable). Can anyone suggest an 8 channel solution?. DON'T want MP3. Board level is best - there is a product on the market called a "Waveplayer 8" but it is rather more than I need (already packaged in its own box with display etc). Ideas, folks.
