Hi here.
I am building a new dac at moment; and i need a pcb to connect underneath my Amanero USB board for easy connection :
Amanero Technologies
I need u.fl connectors for "DATA, CLK, FSCLK, MCLK, DSDDD"; also i will make connectors go out to small screwterminals.
The Amanero board will sit at the top of this board.
I like the idea getting easy access to the header on the board this way.
Is it okay doing it like this ???
Jesper.

Yes That is OK
I am thinking about the issue too.
Some of the "nest board" features:
- opto-isolated functions outputs for arduino display stets
- opto-isolated MUTE, DSD-on outputs for propper delay and mute between Fs change and PCM/DSD change. Because there are some clicks and it is too fast...
- double speed MCKs isolated from the board and ENABLE lines too. To extend recklocking from 192 to max SR.
- At the input Redriver, additional ESD protection, and external PS management.

Hi.
I'm redesigning it a bit, as i'm sure i only need 4 u.fl connectors.
I do not plan to build anything else on the board, as i allready have an isolatorboard.

This is also the DAC i'm building.

Evening all
Updated my board a bit today.
I think it would be good now; just have to verify the sizes, so i'm 100% sure it will fit underneath the Amanero board.
What do you think diyaudio people ?
Jesper.
I attached diptrace Gerbers, just if anyone would like to have a look.

Hello Jesper,
avoid 90° routing. Place ground also on bottom side please (over/under etching, manufacturing friendly).
Don´t think you need impedance controlled routing but here usefull link:

I'm unsure whether the 90-less traces would help anyhow in presence of both screw terminals and u.fl, fed from idc connector. Anyway, the lack of ground plane outweights the previous... concerns.Hello Jesper,
