So, I was going over my ES9028 board, figuring I could upgrade some of the caps with ones off my old Xonar soundcard (which uses lots of Nichicon and Sanyo Oscon caps).
Then I noticed caps of the same rating showing differences in size...
And on the Elna's, completely different colour markings.
The genuine 47uF Nich's (below) also have a cross pressed into the top of the barrel... Also notice the ink smudging off on the writing. The size for the same uF and voltage rating are readily obvious.
The Elna's should also be red or brown with gold or silver markings...
Im willing to wager the Sanyo Oscon's aren't genuine either.
Incredible the lengths people will go to make a couple of extra dollars!

Pretty sure now that all the caps on this board are rep's.
Will be interested to see the difference in sound once they're all replaced.
