Default Question about DAC interpolation

Do DACs usually do any kind of interpolation after reconstructing the signal?

Is it analog interpolation or just adding more steps to the output waveform?

No. The reconstruction filter is providing interpolation - between the discrete points of the digital signal. Some DACs do digital interpolation prior to this too to make the reconstruction filter easier to implement.
