Just curious, but if people are so hot on T-path amps why aren't they harvesting Motorola DCP-501 AV receivers? Currently available on ebay for about $100. Each one contains 5 identical 100W T-path amp modules, a big torroid transformer, big filter caps, gold plated RCA connectors, a DVD player and a solid chassis.

I bought one off Woot ~2003 and have hardly plugged it in except to verify it worked. Always had good enough amps available not to need it. But why are others ignoring it?
Again just curious.

I thank you for your input. I'll give it some more thought. Broadly I had in mind using the power supply for my next amp build. The T-path modules I might sell off for what I can get for them. I have other chassis with crap designed amps in them that I could sub the modules in as sellable items. The main chassis is just too big for anything I can think of. Used price is so low it is probably worth more in parts than whole. Should have put it back in its box, but was large enough without packing. Not sure if documentation is with it, though have a pdf copy.
As I say will give it some more thought.

Hi Doc,

If I could buy it nearby where I live I would probably do so. 50-100$ is an attractive price for all those components. If I buy it from the US, the sending costs will largely exceed the buying price.
I typically pay 20-30$ for a defect receiver/amplifier when I pick it up with my car.
