Help with Hypex NC400 Dual Monoblock Build.
I started a new build a coupe of days ago.
It's a dual mono configuration with 2x nc400 and 2x SMPS600 in one alu-case.
I've just completed building the case, and i am about to install the connectors.
The NC400 modules are shipping at this moment.
I have some questions about earth/ground in the installation.
I am going to use XLRs for inputs, but i just have RCA in my pre-amp.
There is a mic-cable RCA- XLR that should work. Hypex recommend to always use XLR for better sound quality.
In the manual is says to add a cap if you are going to earth the mains, as i going to do.
The question is: Rre you supposed to ad this in this installation with mains grounded?

I'm also wondering: the NC400s will have grounded mains, the pre-amps does not have grounded mains. But the computer of course have grounded mains. Will i get a ground-loop and bad sound? I also use a USB-DAC between.

old thread, but if anybody stumbles upon this I guess the AES-48 standard (which a canny web search should find) and Jim Brown's Pin 1 Revisited article would be a good start to answer that
