I picked up a TDA8950 based amp kit from eBay to replace a 41hz Amp10-Basic I inadvertently fried (I was looking for something that work with the 2x18VAC toroidal transformer I already had).
It's a great sounding amp with a surprising amount of bass even with the 4700uf caps - though it seems to have around 30mv of DC offset on one channel and 50-60mV on the other. I can't see a way to trim this - so I gather I'm stuck with it?
The other thing I noticed is that the LED stays lit up quite a while after the amp is switched off. Does it need some kind bleeder resistor setup?
I must say I prefer this amp to the Amp10-Basic (TA2022) - though with that one I never managed to eradicate the speaking pop and it always had a slight faint fizzling/oscillating sound.
