A few complaints were filed here a long time ago on similar diodes, MUR860, some having poorer results. A brand mentioned was Fairchild, sounding inferior to Motorola/ON types.
Has anyone had any bad or superlative experience on LM317 and LM337 regulators, TO220 types, from different brands?
At Mouser or Digi-Key you can find National, Texas, ON, Fairchild and STM. Prices are much better for ON, STM and Fairchild, but I wonder if there are differences in reliability and specs.
That seems to happen a lot on discrete transistors, so it might be a case for regulators too.
