LA4440 in Sansui CD player

I found LA4440 chip with White bar on it in the cd player is blown . So I replaced it with New one which I bought from market . I immediately noticed noise . It seems fake LA4440 are out in wild . Back in days (few years) , original Sanyo LA4440 were in stock and everyone used them in car casket player . I don't know which class of amplifier LA4440 belongs .
LA4440 I got is replacement made by Unisonic .

Anyone havr original LA4440?

Did you repair what caused it to blow in the first instant?

Check a proper dealer like Mouser, RS, Farnell, Element14 etc.

Chip blew due to powersupply issue . OnSemi stopped producing LA4440 . It is on last shipment stage . I asked my dealer to get me one from OnSemi , he will get it from digikey.

I have another question why OnSemi is stopping production of all Sanyo ic like LA ,STK , LV series IC without providing a proper replacement or upgrade . Does they acquired Sanyo semiconductor for just fun?

Sanyo had fab capacity and IP. Products stand on their merits based on sales numbers/market

Mouser lists this as a new product! Maybe they just updated it somehow and the old part was obsoleted with a new equivalent replacement?

Guys I received new LA4440 (OnSemi one) from my distributor . It has no noise and no issues . I contacted UTC and they said they never made LA4440 replacement part . These Chinese copy cat started using UTC logo now on fake stuff .
Well the one I received had LA4440JE where most indian equipment have LA4440KE .
LA4440 is very popular in developing countries due to low cost , single supply & loud sound.
