The best voltage will depend on what load impedance you're driving (4 or 8ohm for example) and how loud you need to play. In general its the power supply impedance which determines how a chipamp will sound - with lower voltage supplies you can get more uF into the available space and lower voltage caps are in general lower ESR.

Be careful with high voltage and 4 ohms as you can easily take the chip amp outside its safe operating area.
So max voltage would be square root (amp max power * speaker impedance)
