Two Peavey 1210 speakers. These are 8 ohms, dual 10" woofers and triple mallory piezo tweeters. Left over from my keyboard performance era.
LM1875 amp, 2 amp 24 v transformer. Low power is fine, the TV room is 3 m x 4 m, I sit 1 m from the speakers and 1m from the display. The new Samsung 31.5" TV has a vile plastic sound. There are no RCA line level outputs, I am supposed to buy a Samsung sound "bar" accessory for 80% of the price of the TV using a patented optical output. I refuse to pay that for 3" woofers. The tuner left over from the previous CRT monitor produces RCA stereo line level output with a decent sound on HDTV programs.
