Where did you order FETs that were non-functional?
The BUZ11s may hold up. It depends on how abusive the owner is. The Z44 is a more rugged part.

How abusive the owner is? As in turn the music up too loud? This amplifier is for my friend I just want him to have some music in his car until I get to order the original Irfz44n from a reputable distributor

Nope. If you short the source and gate pins on an enhancement mode fet like this one you're the safest that you can be. Under this condition, a working fet should present a high impedance in one direction and that way you can tell whether or not there's a short between drain to source.

Abusive people drive the amp to full power (and beyond) continuously. That's much more difficult for the FETs to withstand than listening at a level that lets the various components operate below their breaking point. If this is a 2oo watt amp and he needs a 500 watt amp, he's likely to be abusive (trying to get more power out of the amp than it's capable of producing).
The test procedure is shown on the site. There is a link to it.
You shouldn't need to change the value of the gate resistors. If they are out of tolerance, they will need to be replaced.
When ordering from the far east, EXPECT to get low quality parts. There are some reputable distributors but it appears that they are a small minority.

I understand what your say he'd push the amp to clipping as your site says, so install the fets and I should be good

What about Digi-Key? Just that it'd make sense to add other things to the list than just those fets considering the shipping price

Octopart.com shows the authorized distributors for various parts that you look up there. Any of the authorized distributors are likely to be 100% trustworthy for parts that they're authorized to sell. Digi-key, mouser, arrow, farnell, future... are reliable.

He has 2 blown amplifier that uses the same irfz44n and I used the buz11 in both and they work fine, I then install it in his car and tuned it to avoid him turning it up to clipping I'm also going to contact the sell that I got the non functional fets from

Perry is it safe to run an amplifier at almost full power but it's not getting enough amp so the led light dims when the bass hits, doesn't affect the audio but wanna know if I'll damage the amp in the long run, the same amplifier you helped me repair not this one, the mei

If you're driving a speaker load that's considered safe by the manufacturer and aren't diving it into hard clipping, the amp should survive. That's a generic answer. I don't have any experience with this make/model amp.
