Have one in for repair and it's missing a few parts. Was wondering if anyone had some insight as to what PS drIverson are used, mpsa06 or mpsa56. Also need a few other pieces as well. Thank you in advance.
not the pcx model, the orignal model from the 80's. it runs an MC14027 chip for the power supply. these boards were used in the g&s competition series amps as well.
I don't have anything on any amps using that IC for a driver. The outline seems to indicate that they are a TO-220 case. If the center leg goes to a 12v source, they are likely NPN transistors. Possibly either 2N6488s or D44VH10s.
If this amp used FETs that were rated for significantly less current than the 3205s, the drive circuit may need to be modified to work with the 3205s.
Are you sure that the original PS transistors were FETs? This circuit has no gate resistors. The only time I can remember seeing that is when the supply used bipolar transistors.
