Hi everybody,
i need a source/seller/distributor for this type of transistor's clamp (spring clamp):
Not only for this PPI, but for other amplifiers that use, in general, this kind of clamp. 🙂

I cannot find anything on the web 🙁
Thank you in advance! 😱

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I have a source for these but they only sell to a select few. I can work on finding their supplier which is probably the factory in Korea. I ordered 10 @ .25 each.
They don't offer parts to everyone because of stocking issues and bigger priorities from a business stand point. If these turn out to be what everyone needs I can maybe work on a bigger buy from them.

i need exactly the number and type in the post #7's photo.
I need them for a PPI PCX-1250.

Did you ever get them? I dont have the material here at work to do it. I asked an engineer at work to make a drawing of the 1 i have. After hes done im going to ask the CNC shop we deal with to see if and how much they can do a bulk for.

The dimensions are virtually identical to clips from a JL amp. These would likely work if no other option was available but there is no hole in the center of the clip to remove them. Removing clips like these requires that you use pliers and they are very difficult to remove with pliers, especially if you have access to only one side of the clip when the clips are very tightly spaced.
That said, I ordered some (from Future Electronics) to see if they otherwise work as they should.

I have used the ones from Farnell. They are not pushing the transistors as firmly as the originals, and its a bit easier to remove if you twist them on the side.
I didn't think about it earlier but these are so inexpensive (~$0.10 each) that it wouldn't be too costly to simply break them to remove them. To allow access to both sides of the clip (to get pliers on them), you could break alternate clips and only have to replace half of them.
