Hi all,

Some time ago I bought a subwoofer speaker – Hertz HX 200, 4ohm, 8". It was stated 300W continuous power, 600W peak. I measured it at 50Hz and I don't think it can handle more than 25 Volts RMS (35V peak), which is about 150W RMS.

Now I look at the amplifiers and the cheapest one (Blaupunkt GTA-280) offers "RMS power (4 ohms) 1 x 210 W". Hm... what should I expect from this amplifier? Will it be too much for this speaker or these 210W RMS are not RMS calculated in this way?

Please excuse my bad English, and thanks in advance for your advices.
Regards.
