I need to add a Isolation Transformer to the RCA input on my powered SUB.
These things commecially are quite costly, as the Jensen Transformer one.
Plus, i dont seem to find it here in Europe.
How can i build one ? Is this a simple CMC ? Or does it have more components?
The goal is to prevent burning the subwoofer amplifier, as it happened 2x already and it was not due to overloading or pushing it too loud. On disconnect i heard a loud "buzz" and then it went.

Triad TY-146. Put a 2,200 ohm resistor across pins 5 and 8. That is the output to the subwoofer. Pins 1 and 4 are the input. Pins 1 and 5 are the shell contact. Put a jumper between pins 2 and 3. Another jumper between 6 and 7.
what about this? i have them. not noticed much if any sub bass missing with these. not really done any proper testing.

ive opened them up. they do have the fatter transformers in them. welded sealed so quite hard to break case open. nice feeling cable coming out of them.
