For designing source switching for preamplifier, is there a well known high quality relay for switching audio input signals or is some other method typically used?
Hi,
Panasonic TXS2, latched type for example.
Also with suffix 1 for AgPd contacts and very low loads, although the Ag type is good enough for all audio, Phono signal switching included (low specced minimum voltage and low thermal emf).

These are very good. They are specified in the BOM of a Doug Self preamp http://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/KEMET-NEC-Tokin/EC2-12NU/?qs=BenOyfdfArqRFl%2bOm5Bdvw==
