finally got around to boxing up my arduino-based analog preamp system:

chassis is laser-cut (also DIY) at techshop.
control is via IR remote but there are hooks (serial) for remote-remote control via web (etc).
range is 127.5dB in half dB steps.
vol control is motorized and is a control-element, only; no audio goes thru it. all audio is thru the latching relays in series/shunt/bypass topology.
