I collected some info on this amp available by kit or assembled on aliexpress and ebay. In kit form, this can be had for as low as $17.

This is a headphone version, not quite like JLH's but you wouldn't want to bias it for more than a watt or so in class A with heatsinks that small. For a few bucks more on the kit, you could have a 10-15 Watter and use some nice speakers.
 
It’s a headphone amp - not a speaker amp. I think it can run maybe 1.6w into 8ohms. I actually hooked it to my 91dB sensitive 3FE22 and it played pretty loud but it’s not a 10w amp the original 1969 JLH.

You want this kit if you are interested in 10w.

But if looking for a 10w to 20w Class A amp, why not try the latest and greatest with almost 50 more years of technological and topology advancement?

Try the Alpha 20. You will be happy that you got the extra 10w, and the amp will be superior from standpoint of dynamics, efficiency, soundstage, dc offset stability, and adjustment free.
