I'm looking at getting the 48"x48" Zenbot CNC machine. I probably will buy it later this year/early next year. I'm just curious to hear some thoughts on the machine.
I'll be using the machine to cut 3/4" MDF and 18mm Baltic Birch mostly. Also I'll be using it for some art related jobs, such as drawing fractals and drilling half tone patterns in to a material. The Hitachi M12vc seems like the best candidate for the spindle. They include a free spindle mount for this model, so that makes it simpler for the initial setup.
I haven't decided on the dust collection unit yet. I know I'll be using an upcut bit and have a vacuum hose near it. I'm not sure what the power of the vacuum should be. I didn't pay attention to the type vacuum that was used back in school.
