Hello!
I am going to build Zaph Audio SR-71. Recommended Madisound’s baffle is 1” width, back and sides are 3/4”.
It’s difficult for me to make 1” front baffle due to technical reasons (and price is increasing). I can cut 3/4” MDF board in one cycle.
Is it ok to use 3/4” as front baffle? This will reduce depth of cabinet by 1/4” (or about 6,5 mm), and reduce stiffness of front baffle. But does it is sacrifice overall system performance? Is there an impact on tonal balance (baffle dimemtions stays the same)?

English is not my native, sorry. I hope you’ve understand a question. DIY-ers experienced with Zaph Audio SR-71 are always welcome! Thanks a lot.

I used the knockdown cabinet from Parts express, 0.56 cabinet. And countersunk the drivers. Very Nice speakers for the price.
I use them in my bedroom system mainly for tv and movies.
The knockdown cabinets from Parts express made things so easy. I doubt I could make them for the price I paid. I don't work there or anything just sayin.
