Anyone build or listen to these? I found mention that Peter Daniel stuffed a pair in his wall.

I'm currently running a pair of Snell K-II's with an AKSA 55 or ST-70 with a Foreplay fed by an old Rotel 5-disc changer. I'd like a smoother top end and lower extension.

Or would I do better with a three-way? I don't want to really go above $1200.

Thanks

I stuffed them in a wall, but still didn't optimized crossover, so can't comment on a subject.

But since it's MTM, crossover freq has to be pretty low (3k or so). Raven can't go this low with a second order filter. And I'd rather wouldn't like to go any steeper than that. That's why I use the TM monitors curently and didn't do much with phenomenal yet. They are fine with movies though (no filter on midranges, single cap on a tweeter).

A new CD player is a parallel project. I'm still researching that one.

Speaker-wise, I want to take a quantum leap over what I have. I have an Adcom GFA-545II that I was going to put on subs, an AKSA 55 and a Dynaco ST-70 I am hot rodding for mid and up. I have a pair of Rod Elliot's crossover boards waiting to be stuffed but am also considering a Behringer unit.

I guess I'm drifting toward a three way design that I can build somewhat modularly, each driver in it's own cabinet and make it more or less phase coherent.
