Hi guys,

I am interested in building the YJ 3 tube 6n3 pre-amp.
1pc Buffer Tube 6N3 HiFi Audio Preamplifier Amplifier AC150V Transformer | eBay
I am located in Australia and would like to buy a transformer locally. Has anyone modified or improved this circuit, or able to confirm the following power requirements:
High Voltage: AC150V-0-AC150V (current 10MA)
filament voltage: AC6.3V (4A above)

It seems the cinese are making quite a few Chinese pre-amps i.e:

Apart from the YJ 6n3 that some have reported success is there anything else out there of interest?
cheers

I've just ordered the YJ two tube variety complete with 220v transformer for use here in the UK. I considered the 3 tube variant, but decided replacing the Chinese rectifier valve was going to be a pain due to the lack of clear european or US equivalent. I understand the 6n3 can be replaced with a 5670 valve or a Russian equivalent (can't remember the model). I'll post my findings on the site in due course.

I have been looking for a local transformers rated 230/240, thus querying the power requirements of this circuit.
The YJ 3 tube requires 6.3v for the heaters, however I have seen similar circuits running from 50v-230v, where's this one requires 150v. Do these tubes operate under a large range of voltages?
I have attached a circuit below if a 'similar' design with 2x 6n3 and 6z4. I would prefer to purchased a local transformer but can't find many with 150-0-150 secondary.
