[Help Please] YJ-003 TA2022 Hissing
I bought an Amp with TA2022 and NE5532. Had hissing, from the treble, I use a pair of JBL L20 monitors.
What I tried:
- Replace the NE5532 with LME49860, a little quieter
- Replaced whatever pot it had with RK27, still hissing.
- Tried shunting the RK27, still hissing.
Now thinking of turning it into power amp, get rid of the pot. Use 50K resistors between the intput and the board. Would that work? I'm getting sound from just wiring input directly to the board, but there is still hissing.
Thanks!

Well, very late, but in case someone else decides to buy this amp. Got rid of the hissing rewiring the input/output to skip the OpAmp. I'm using as a power amp, got rid of the pot. I think if you just soldered the output from the pot to skip the OpAmp should work also.
I honestly don't know if I did it right or if it's safe, it sounds good and I got no more hissing, it's super loud if I want it to be, and been running for over a month with no issues. The TriPath chip also remains cool, can touch it with bare finger fine.
I could do with more bass. I'm guessing maybe that's what the Chinese engineer was trying to do with the OpAmp, add more bass?
