Hi !
I have acquired Yamaha RX-V4600 with a problem.
Receiver seems to be very complicated, but I am committed to put it back to working order.
Problem:
It turns on for 15 seconds - 1 minute without any signs on display regarding failure. Then relay starts clicking and rebooting receiver until it stops turning on completely (need to wait good 12 hours until it can turn on again).
Everything is very compact and seems like was made from high-end materials. My first go would be power supply, but would like to hear your opinions. It also has self diagnostics, but I did not had a chance to try it out yet.
Any advice on where to start will be appreciated.
Ernie

I wouldn't turn this unit on anymore, until you check the basics, any pcb burns, low or shorted resistance readings, etc. Definitely check the power supplies for shorts, burns.
