Hello ever'm everyone! I am new here and I need your expert advice. I bought a Yamaha MX-1000 off of ebay and it wasn't operational when I recieved it.
The entire Right channel was fried. The damage was so excessive it found it's way into the V-Power amp stage. I have replaced 40 componets and finally got the amp to turn on and stay out of protection.
This is where I'm stumped! When the amp turns on the Right channel is showing oscillation on the meter. In the digital read out it shows about .4 watts in 8 ohm. When turn the gain or volume switch it diappears on the meter but is still very visible on the scope. I have it hooked up to a Sound tech Distortion analyzer
and I have a freq. of 1000Hz going in. With a load the output of the Right channel is distorted. The left channel seems to be ok but shows minor signs of the problems of the Right channel.
What could be causing the oscillation in this amp?
