I have a DX7s that had a dead battery and lost all internal voices. I do not have the Rom cartridge. Does anyone know where I can get the DX7s files. All I can find are the DX7 files, which are not the same. Has anyone successfully loaded sysex files to a DX7s? If so, the procedure would be much appreciated. Thanks
All that happens when the internal battery goes flat is the loss of your recordings and specials. The ROM loads the uProcessor everytime it is powered up and the ROM does not lose its data. There may be another problem on it. Just in case;

I don't have my manuals handy, but is there a diagnostic program in the DX7s? And in that, ther might be a restore factory settings function. The DX7 works that way.
Yamaha manuals are extensive, and probably way too large to post on this forum.
I will make a note to find the service manual for that model next trip to the shop.

I have the service manual, it is a 3.8MB file, I cannot post it here. If you PM me your email, I can send it if you'd like to have it.
There is an extensive diagnostic, a quick read I did not see patch restore, but it may be in there. Yamaha makes excellent manuals.
