Yamaha DSP-A595 Mod

Hi I got a Yamaha DSP-A595 I would like to mod it but I have a few questions.

Its an AV amp but I only use it as a stereo amp, it got a good review for it's AV abilities however its stereo verdict was said to be lacking in the mid range.

I have an anologue signal coming into the amp and would like to change the output op-amp which is a NEC4570c (dip8) to a DIP8 IC Socket Adapter and then roll a few different op-amps, as well as change the 2 power supply Capacitors.

1. Will I run into any problems just changing the main speakers op-amp(and not the other 2 op-amps for center rear fl+fr etc).

2. Any recommended op-amps that will fit and potentially open up the mids?

3.The 2 power supply Capacitors are 8200 56v although the service manual states they should be 6800 56v can i replace these with 8200v 63v and/or 10000 63v in theory?

Many Thx

No, that does not matter.

This lacking-in-the-midrange is a bit strange, because that is where least problems are to be expected. The usual suspects depend on your budget. The cheapest solution and probably best-bang-for-the-buck is the NE5532A, followed by OPA2134. If you want to invest more, this may be an interesting thread for you.

You can do that. What do you expect to happen when you replace one 8200 µF capacitor with another?
