I measure +,- 119V! Its one of many that have died on us. Used to have a rack full. Loaded with QSC now.

Outputs are 4x 2sc3856, 4x 2sa1942.

Nice layout is all I can say for this POS.

Can these devices survive at this potential?

In my opinion the CP2000 is not an amp I would ever want to own again. It has a real difficult time with anything other than a perfectly resistive load. It cannot drive a Lab sub with out doing strange things.

As far as cheap pro sound power amps go, the EP2500 will eat the CP2000 for lunch. I had a chance to put an EP2500 on the bench and try to break it. It meets its advertised specs and then some. Tough loads are no problem. Is it a QSC 2450? No, but its a very close clone.
The Yamaha CP2000 meet a budget we had a few yrs back for a system. It was alway connected to a comfortable load that dipped to around 6 ohms. Failed one day while powering it up. It was maybe one yr old. A QSC 2450 pulled from another rack kept the show going.
The system is a small three meter line array using 16 tens, BC750 hf drivers and four 27 hertz folded horn Lab subs. Xover points are 90 and 1.2Khz.
I had used the CP2000s at one time to drive some of the mid boxes. Now its all QSC.

The system will easily do 100dba at 150+ feet FOH and sounds as clean and acurate as my old Acoustats at home.

Thanks for the info. You mentioned "strange things". What is it?

I'm about to make an experiment with EEEngine system. But if from your info this EEEngine only makes "strange things", I will cancel this experiment.

The CP2000 has three LEDs. Green , yellow and Red. The green indicates signal, yellow is some relative level and red indicates clipping of the output waveform. If I recall the clip (red LED) came on before the yellow as the level was brought up.
I noticed this when driving the Lab sub which dips to just under four ohms at one point in the passband.

I would not drive the load. We noted very little power out at the point the "clip" LED was flickering. My first thought was one of the two drivers in the sub was shorted. Apparently, the amp was in some protect mode.

Lightly loaded, the CP2000 sounds fine. Although, I never put one on the bench and checked, I always got the impression it was a "lightweight" when it comes to power output. An old Peavey CS-800 has more... 'balls'.

The amp board has an odd layout in the output section. Anyone have a schematic? I might as well repair it.

I have CP2000 waiting repair for over a year, because I can't find
schematic. I received this amp without any transistor on board, so I have no idea how to start repair.
Please sir can you send me schematic and help me so much after long, long search...?
