Hi folks!
I found on web lowpass filter like this one, and author says that an little extra coil helps to supress cone breakup region. I wish to know how to calculate that extra coil, that is, to calculate it for known peak frequency of midbass.
Is there any equation for that?
Thanks!

This filter exhibits a notch (zero transmission) at the resonnant frequency of C1L2 :
f = 1/[2*pi*sqr(LC)]
where f is in Hertz (cps) L in Henry and C in Farad.
If the notch is too sharp, add a small resistor in series with C1L2 (which can be the dc resistance of L2, if the wire is small in diameter)
