xlr connections

Hey, I want to build this preamp here Op-Amp Microphone Preamp

But I'm a total retard on this stuff, how will I connect the XLR input and output into the circuit?
I guess they go in the yellow circle and in the 'Out', but how?

High quality microphone pre-amps do not have unbalanced inputs and outputs.

This is an unbalanced preamp because it connects one end of the microphone to ground. A high quality preamp will have only the shield (XLR pin 1) grounded and a fully differential input stage connected to the microphone leads (XLR pins 2 & 3) in order to get good CMRR and therefore reject most of (common mode) noise induced into the microphone leads.

In the meantime... Do you know any good diy project for a mic pre?
1 channel is ok, no phantom power needed..

It has phantom power... can I just remove it from the circuit?
