Hey guy. I've been working on my web site www.diyprojection.com for the past week and its looking great. One section of the site that is about finished is the diy dictionary. You can look up just about an word that deals with diy projection. Right now there are about 63 entries, but it is still growing. Check it out and tell me what you think. If any one can think of any new words to add, just drop me a message and I'll be glad to update it.

Another part of the web site i think is really cool is an image viewer that displays random pictures of peoples projected images on the side panel of the site and the user can click the image to view it at full size. I have uploaded many images from the post your results section, but you guys can also submit your own projected image along with a description.
There is also a review section so users of the site can submit reviews on any thing they own that has to deal with diy projection and home theater.
There is a web links section that allow users to submit diy related web links! This is an awsome resource on the web site because all the the links are organized and have descriptions to them. I have already added many links from the wiki and other sites around the web for buying parts as well as user websites from people who have build projectors.
There is a downloads section that users can submit diy related downloads. I have posted the lens calculation tools as well as some free CAD/Drafting programs to help people design there projectors.
There is an FAQ section. This is not user driven, but it is a great way to keep common info newbies should know. I have not worked on this part of the site very much, but there is a brief faq section for newbies. If you guy have any suggestions for newbie questions, please let men know.
There are tones more features to this site (I even have a module capable of running a web store in the future).
Another great module I added on the the site is an upload scrip. This alows people to upload images/files to the site, and will give them the HTML code to paste in reviews, news article, etc they are writing to display the image. YES! This site will accept HTML code when writing articles! Users can also use the code <!--pagebreak--> when writing reviews to make a new page of information.
There is alot more to the site but I will leave it at this for now! My goal for the site is to be a user driven diy resource for every one to benefit from! Please check out the site and tell me what you think! I would love any feedback you guys have that will help improve the site. After all, I am investing my time and money in this site because I wish to help the entire diy community. Feel free to sign up too and participate!

Site looks great, really coming along well. I already have a remote for my LCD(The joy of a prjection panel), and I'm thinking about getting one for my PC. You can get remotes and recievers for $10-$15 for PC use. I think adding a remote really takes it from just a projector and some speakers to a home theater 🙂 .
One thing, when you use people's photos, you should probably ask them if it's ok first. I personally don't care, but I've seen stupid little conflicts like someone using someone elses picture rip apart bulletin boards.

You're very right out the pictures. I do have to go through them all and add some credits. This was a last minute midnight idea 🙂.
wow...good job...NO!.....DAMN good job! looks very professional man 🙂 I can see Proxima knocking at your door😉
are you planning to sell anything?
