I'm self-constructing a replica of the Electro Voice Sentry III loudspeakers,
for which I already own the parts related to the mid and high frequencies, but I need now to replace the original EV DL15W woofer. In the original Sentry III this woofer was made to work in a box vented about 209 liters, connected or not with
an equalizer for frequencies around 30 Hz, so that precisely the Sentry III, reducing the vent of the bass reflex, could reproduce up to 28Hz / - 3dB.
What woofer similar for replacement do you recommend?
But I also ask you, having the possibility to bi-amplify the woofer section and the mid-high section separately, if you can not use woofers with a lower dB SPL and a more extended downward response. Thank you (and sorry for my English translated with Google),
Greetings
Sergio

Hello there, good luck with your build!
Have you had a look at RCF drivers? I know some can go down to 30Hz and are good quality
Are you using EV cabinets or building your own?
Also I recommend an active crossover for bi-amping
